Hello

My name is Kirsten Georgine Laussat. I was born July 14th, 1964 in Worms, Germany and moved to the US in August 2017.

My passion for horses started very early when I was a little girl. I had my first horse, a Trakehner, when I was 14 years old and my second one,  a  Thoroughbred, when I was 19 years old.  At this time we had no western trainers in Germany, so I had to ride english/classic.

I bought my third horse at age 27, a warmblood, and luckily I found a western trainer, who is still my friend, and who trained me and my horse in the western riding style. I was super happy because I‘ve also been a huge John Wayne fan since I saw my first JW western movie at the age of  7.  After a few years as a hobby western rider I earned the following certifications:

• Western Riding Certification
• Trail Riding Certification
• Hoof Trimming Certification (to trim my own horses hooves)
• Lunge Work Certification
• Certification that allows me to board horses (what I did for many years)
• Western Trainer License course.

After the certifications I guided many trail rides with guests in Germany as I lived in one of the biggest and most beautiful forests in Germany. I also trained a lot of horses, to become calm and reliable trail horses.

The story of   "Georgia Ranch"

The first picture shows my dad “Georg” whom I lost far too early. I got my middle name “Georgine” in relation to him. He was one of the best dads ever and in memory of him my daughter “Jenny” got her middle name “Georgina”.

The second picture shows me and my horse “Duke“ which I brought from Germany with me. He is the son of my third horse on which I learned the western riding style 29 years ago. In 2010 I started a ranch in Germany with my daughter and we named it “Georgia Ranch“.

The third picture shows my beautiful daughter Jenny Georgina Lauer -  Preschool teacher with her own business as riding therapist for children at her "Georgia Ranch" in Germany  and now also married to her wonderful husband Alex who has his own business as a horse and dog chiropractor.

Now when I decided to run my own business here in the US  I wanted to keep this name tradition and named my business 

“Georgia Ranch - Trail Rides”.
